Case Study - Matching Your Brand Shoot With Your Brand's Aesthetic
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you’re going through a website refresh then now is the perfect time to enlist a branding photographer. That way your new photos can be integrated flawlessly into your new website!
When my membership client, Dr. Megan-Marie Delegas of Megan Marie PT, recently redid her site, she came to me with a clear vision in mind.
After booking her session, we jumped on a call to chat about that vision and the updates she was making to her brand with her new website. Then I sent her my questionnaire to get even more information. She also gave me her new brand colors.
When I saw her palette and learned about the direction she was going in with her new brand, we decided The Newburyport Studio would be a great fit with it’s neutral walls. This beautiful space is full of white backgrounds and soft hues that wouldn't distract from her website and brand colors. I mean, just check out how well the brick walls go with the peachy tone of her website!
To keep with the color palette, we made sure her outfits were neutral enough to work with her light and bright brand, like white tops and khaki pants. However we incorporated a few pops of color like these light blue yoga pants that matched her website’s blue accent color perfectly.
With the setting established and a wardrobe assembled, I pulled everything together in the shoot plan on Trello. We devised a few stories to tell through her new images, as well as a list of props and some inspiration photos to help tell those stories.
Megan was so thrilled with her images, and they work so well with her new website, designed by BrandUp. Here are some before and after images of Megan Marie PT. Notice how we get a mix of headshots (looking at the camera) and action shots!
I mean, how great does her new site look? And since Megan is one of my membership clients, she has another session on the books so we can shoot more content for her blog posts, social media accounts and other promotional needs.
If you’re in the process of refreshing your website, and you’re located in the Boston area, then you also need a branding session! Click here to book. And if you don’t have a clear vision like Megan, that’s okay! Through my shoot process, we will create the perfect vision to fit your business and brand.
I also still have spots available in my membership program which allows clients to create new content all throughout the year!
