Case Study - Before and After Website Transformation!
I’ve said it before and I will say it again: it is always important to have updated professional photos for your website. But it’s even more important to update your photos when you are refreshing your website. That way not only are your photos onbrand, they are taken specifically with your new site in mind.
Brenna Silveria of Hope + Bay Design Co. reached out to me during her website refresh to schedule her branding session. In addition to my thorough shoot planning process, which includes my Image Opportunity Analysis and branding questionnaire, I also worked with Brenna’s website designer, Chantelle Davis-Gray. Chantelle provided me with the brand guide she had developed for Hope + Bay featuring Brenna’s new brand logos, moodboard and colors.
Because I knew what the new site’s feel and color scheme would be, I was able to craft a shoot plan with props, shot types and inspiration. I also shared outfit suggestions that would complement her brand’s colors and aesthetic. Then with all of this in mind, I was able to plan out a few different stories to shoot through the Trello board I developed for our session. This included making a shot list for each story that would capture her in her in-home art studio, shots of her at her desk (which was just as colorful as her brand palette), some space shots of her home that she personally designed and even hanging out with the kiddos!
It was through all of this prep work that we were able to ensure that we got the perfect shots for her website. And between Brenna’s vision, Chantelle’s brand guide and my photos, we created a gorgeous new site for Hope + Bay Design Co. Just check out these before and after photos!

Now Brenna has lots of images not only for the website, but also so she can create a beautiful and cohesive social feed to market her brand.
