Losing business because you’re using the wrong images? 3 ways to tell if you need a branding session!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But if you’re not using the right images for your brand, you’re telling the wrong story. And that could be bombing your business.

But that doesn’t have to be the case and I have a quick solution for you!

Here are three ways to tell if a branding session will help attract your ideal clientele and bring in business.

1) Are you using old images?

Sure, you love that haircut from 2015. But now you’re a blonde instead of a brunette and that pixie cut has grown out to a chic lob. If your photos are more than a few years old - even if they are professional - things change, our looks change. You want people to know who you are when they meet you in person, not be looking for that version of you from five years ago.

If you do one thing for your business, at least get an updated headshot that reflects not only how you look now, but also how your business has evolved.

2) Are you using stock images?

Stock images are available all over the internet and they can be a great way to get your site up and running. However, if you want to better connect with your audience and really advertise what you can do for your clients, using real, authentic images of your brand will be more effective. It can be a small difference - from a generic image of a laptop, to a picture of you actually on your own laptop - but your audience will get a better idea of who you are and what you’re about.

3) Do your images go along with your website?

When you first launch your website it is so important to put your best foot forward. But styles change, as does your business. If you redesign your site, remember that the images you originally chose may not line up with what your brand has become. That disconnect can turn off possible clients and make your fresh new website look immediately outdated. Simply replacing those images can be the key to booking your next gig.

So, how are you feeling about your own website and social media images? Are they outdated? Are you using too many stock images? Or are you in the process of updating your website? If you answered YES to any of these questions, let’s chat! Click here to get in touch!
