Brand Sessions in the JWP Studio
When I am working with a client a common question I get asked as a brand photographer is, “I don’t have a picture-perfect space so where will we shoot?” After all, not everyone has an Instagram-worthy home or office space - and that’s okay!
Over my five years serving entrepreneurs and small businesses, I’ve rented several different spaces throughout the Boston area to fit my clients’ needs and brand aesthetics. But last year I decided to “put down roots” as it were and establish my own shoot space - The JWP Studio.
I spent months redoing this gorgeous commercial location in the middle of downtown Reading, MA, filled with tons of natural light. It was a labor of love painting the walls white, installing minimalist bookshelves, flowing curtains, a plush bone colored sofa and matching chairs, white desk and bistro table, and even hiring a local carpenter to build a custom rolling backdrop featuring a plain white wall and rotating color on the reverse side!
My goal for the space was to be flexible so I could accommodate lifestyle brand sessions, as well as headshots, allowing it to meet most of my clients’ photography requirements.
However, in the spirit of transparency the JWP Studio doesn’t have a few features such as a kitchen. So if that is something that is necessary for your shoot, a Home Studio rental may be more suited to your needs.
But for the majority of my clients, the studio is the ideal light and bright place to shoot and over the past several months I have been working with entrepreneurs in several different industries.
Many real estate agents, such as my clients Erica Carson, Georgi Morin, Dina Goncalves, and the Marrocco Real Estate Group, find the JWP Studio to be great for working shots, professional images, and team photos.
I also love working with other professional service providers like Ladimer Law, Lavalle Wellness, and Stephanie Beth Photography in the JWP Studio.
And while the space is only 350 square feet, I am continuing to find new ways to rearrange furniture while discovering new angles to shoot, so that my clients walk away with many different options for their websites, marketing materials and social media.
If you’re looking to update your photos, I offer full brand photography packages in the studio, as well as a 1-hour in-studio package and a headshot package. You can see examples of my headshot work with Meredith and Liz. For more on how we can work together, you can visit my services page.
