Lyford Family Shoot // Ipswich River Park

I had so much fun working with the Lyford Family. Amber and I have been trying to schedule a shoot for some time now so I was super excited when we were able to find a date and time that worked with both our busy schedules! This shoot I really wanted to focus on getting great candids so I decided to take a different approach. When the family arrived, I told them we will do a mix of formal posed shots and candids. Because we were at a park, I felt it was natural to have the kiddos just be themselves in this type of setting to create a fun and vibrant shoot. So, I started out with a few formal poses, then let the kiddos RUN! So much energy and it needs to be released. Of course this makes my job much more challenging, but I'm always up for that ;) Then after some goofing around, I settled them into a few more posed shots and then again some candids with the goal of getting the kiddos to laugh! Mom and dad were great at this and I feel I got some great smiling/laughing candids. 

Also, this shoot was during the GOLDEN HOUR. Again, I cannot stress how much I love shooting at this time! The yummy warm highlights just make everyone glow and skin tones look amazing!
