You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers!

FAQs

How will we plan my shoot?

It all starts with my in depth questionnaire. From there, I will evaluate your answers, take a look at your website and social channels and complete a brand analysis that will help me understand how you are currently using imagery and make recommendations on where we can improve upon. That will be the guide for planning your session. Things to plan include, location, what stories to tell, outfit ideas, props, etc.

What about finding a space or location?

You can shoot at my natural light studio in Reading, MA or we can set up shop at your home or office. If neither of those options work for your brand, you can considering renting a space from Home Studio List or from Peerspace at an hourly rate! Unless otherwise noted in your package, the rental fee for any space is your responsibility.

How can I use the images?

Your fee comes with a commercial usage license allowing you permission to use the photos on your website and social media outlets. Any magazines, publication, or other brands/organizations interested in using the images should be referred to me to purchase a use license.

How will the images be delivered?

I use an protected online gallery for which you will be able to view and download your images!

What if I want more images than are included in the gallery?

No problem! Any images you want, beyond what is already included in your package is available to purchase at an additional rate.

What is your style of shooting?

I love natural light…who doesn’t? My style has been referred to as bright, clean, fun, light, airy, calming…so I think you get the picture. When shooting indoors I try to use as much window light as possible, but occasionally I will have to use flash or other lighting.

How long does it take to receive my images?

Typically it takes 2-3 weeks. If you need the photos beforehand just let me know and I will try and accommodate special requests like that.

Can you get some action shots?

Yes! Part of the shoot plan will identify what types of action shots we want. For entreprenures that work a lot at their desk, perhaps we will style a story tailored to that. Or maybe you are a makeup artist and want to shoot a demo of make-up. All of this gets flushed out during the planning stages.

How early should I book my session?

I would recommend at least a month in advance of your targeted shoot date. This is to give us time to plan your session and secure any locations that may require a reservation/fee or permits.

What about props and styling?

I do have an array of props that I can bring if they match your brand and shoot plan. However, if I don’t have anything already, I’m happy to purchase what is needed and invoice you for cost. You are also welcome to purchase and bring props that align with our shoot plan.

Do I have to credit your work when using the images online?

No, your license does not require credit when posting, but it is always appreciated!

Are there tiny magical unicorns that live in your camera performing all the magic?

Just wanted to see if you were still reading! But no, unfortunately unicorns are mythical creatures and it has taken me several years to perfect my craft.
