Hi, I'm Jessie
Rather than give you a lengthy autobiography detailing my experience and why I became a photographer, how about I just give you some good fun facts about me?
I have lived in Massachusetts for 9 years. Before that I lived in Iowa, Maryland, California, Arizona, Missouri, and Nevada.
I am married to my wonderful husband George, who assists me regularly with photography.
I have an 8 year old dachshund is who the love of my life (other than my husband) and a major source of my inspiration.
I've been in love with photography well over 10 years and have been a professional for the past four.
I'm a Nikon girl - shooting with a full-frame camera, the D750. I prefer prime lenses but will bring out the big zoom lenses for weddings.
My favorite food is spaghetti, followed by cereal (frosted flakes to be exact).
I write and eat with my left hand. I do everything else with my right.
I have a bachelor's degree in urban planning and a masters degree in urban design. While photography is my passion, I also consult for various planning and urban design projects. I have a serious love for maps (and bridges).
My style of photography: I like to take a more photojournalistic approach to my work, meaning stepping back and letting the moment happen to capture it naturally, rather than make it forced. This sometimes comes easier to some clients and not to easy to others...but that is where my bag of tricks comes handy - I have certain techniques to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your session. That way, the camera sees you - and we can capture memories that will mean something and last forever!
